FormGoat Purchase and Refund Policy
This English version is the governing version of this Policy. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience only; in the event of any discrepancy, this version prevails (section 9).
1. Plans
| Plan | Price (excl. VAT) | Forms per month |
|---|---|---|
| FREE | €0 | 5 |
| PLUS | €18 / mo | 300 |
| PREMIUM | €48 / mo | 1,500 |
| BUSINESS | On request | As agreed individually |
Prices are stated excluding VAT. Applicable VAT (IVA) is calculated automatically at payment according to the buyer's country and is displayed before the payment is confirmed.
Extracted data is retained for 1 year on the FREE, PLUS and PREMIUM plans; on BUSINESS the period is agreed individually. See the Privacy Policy for details.
BUSINESS. Volume, retention period, the data processing agreement (DPA) and organisational arrangements — including several employees of an agency drawing on a shared volume of forms — are agreed individually and recorded in a separate agreement. Until such an agreement is concluded, the account and its balance are issued to, and may be used by, one person only (Terms of Service, clause 7.4).
What constitutes "one form"
One form is one operation of AI extraction of data from documents:
| Product | What is charged |
|---|---|
| Chrome Extension | Upload of a document + OCR + AI matching |
| DS-160 Desktop | Upload of documents and creation of an application profile (one application = one form) |
| PDF Goat | AI analysis of the form and extraction of data |
A single balance of forms is used across all FormGoat products: one subscription covers them all.
What does not consume your balance: completing the pages of an application on top of a profile already created — however many there are; returning to a page already completed; and the bulk import of a consolidated spreadsheet, up until the analysis of a particular application is started.
2. Acceptable use
No separate limit is imposed on AI requests per form. In order to protect the infrastructure and prevent abuse we may apply technical rate limits (Terms of Service, clauses 4.3 and 8.2). Where such limits materially affect your use of the Service, we will notify you.
3. Payment methods
Payment for all products is made through Stripe — on the formgoat.ai website or from within the App, which opens the payment page in your browser.
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other methods supported by Stripe.
- The subscription commences upon payment and renews monthly automatically.
- Management and cancellation: formgoat.ai → the "Manage" button (Stripe Customer Portal).
- Invoice history is available in the same place: in the Stripe Customer Portal you can view and download the invoice for each payment — including for accounting purposes.
- Card details are processed by Stripe; they do not reach us.
The FormGoat DS-160 app for Windows is distributed through the Microsoft Store; however, the subscription is not an in-store purchase: payment is made through Stripe in the browser, and refunds are governed by this Policy rather than by the rules of the store.
4. EU consumer right of withdrawal (14 days)
4.1. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of taking out the subscription, without giving reasons. This right does not apply to business users (agencies, law firms, employers).
4.2. Immediate performance. FormGoat is a digital service available immediately upon payment. By taking out a subscription (by clicking the payment button after having reviewed this Policy and the Terms of Service) you expressly request that performance of the service begin immediately and acknowledge that you understand that, once you begin using it, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal in respect of the part of the service already supplied (the forms used) — in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 103(m) of the Spanish TRLGDCU. This consent is recorded at the moment the subscription is taken out.
4.3. If you have not used a single form in the paid period, the right of withdrawal is preserved: you may withdraw within 14 days and receive a full refund.
4.4. How to exercise it: write to [email protected] within 14 days. The refund is made by the same payment method within 14 days of receipt of the request.
5. Refund policy (in addition to the right of withdrawal)
| Situation | Refund condition |
|---|---|
| First period, no forms used | Full refund (see also section 4) |
| Subsequent periods | Refund available where the request is made within 3 days of the date of the charge, provided no forms have been used in the new period |
| Technical failure attributable to us | Forms credited back to your balance (no monetary compensation) |
Requests: [email protected], stating the account email, the date of the transaction and the reason. Processing time: 5–10 business days.
5.1. Chargebacks
If you have a query concerning a charge, please contact us first. Initiating a chargeback without having first contacted us may result in the suspension of your account until the matter is resolved.
6. Balance of forms
- The balance of forms (the monthly allowance of your plan) does not carry over to the following period.
- Where you cancel your subscription, access is retained until the end of the paid period, after which the plan reverts to FREE. An unused monthly allowance does not carry over.
- Where you close your account before the end of the paid period, the unused part of that period is refunded pro rata on request.
- Where we discontinue the paid Service, the unused part of the paid period is refunded pro rata.
- Where an automatic charge fails on the renewal date, access to paid features is suspended and the plan reverts to FREE until payment is resumed.
- BUSINESS: the volume of forms is determined by the individual agreement.
7. Changes to plans and prices
- Existing subscribers are given not less than 30 days' notice of a change in prices.
- New prices do not apply to the current paid period.
8. Retention of payment documents
Invoices and payment records are retained for 6 years (Código de Comercio, Art. 30), including after the deletion of an account — this is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Your own invoices are available to you in the Stripe Customer Portal (section 3).
9. Out-of-court resolution, enquiries and language
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to refer the matter to the national consumer dispute resolution bodies (in Spain, the Sistema Arbitral de Consumo). The pan-European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform ceased operation on 20 July 2025.
Enquiries concerning payment and refunds should be sent to [email protected]; we respond within 30 days. Enquiries concerning personal data are dealt with in the manner described in the Privacy Policy, including the regional specifics (section 13).
This Policy may be translated into other languages for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, this English version prevails, except where mandatory rules require interpretation in the consumer's language.
