The DS-160, filled from the applicant’s documents.
Upload the passport and the completed questionnaire — AI extracts the data and enters it into the DS-160 on ceac.state.gov, page by page, right in your Chrome. The extension opens as a side panel next to the form. Upload the documents once — after that you only review. You sign and submit the application yourself.
FormGoat is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with the US Department of State and is not an official service.
How it works
Collect the documents Use your own client questionnaire or download a Word template (B1/B2 or F1) from the side panel and send it to the applicant.
Upload them The completed questionnaire and/or scans and photos: passport, previous visas, employment letter, invitation, school documents.
Check the profile In about a minute AI builds the applicant’s profile and shows what it found, how confident it is, where documents contradict each other and what is missing.
Fill page by page Open the DS-160 on ceac.state.gov in a regular tab. The panel detects the page on its own and fills it. You check it and click Next — to the end of the application.
Features
Dozens of pages, strict formats for dates, phone numbers and addresses, and a session that expires at the worst moment. The side panel knows each page of the form.
A profile that is easy to check AI confidence for each value, conflicts between documents and a list of what the documents do not contain.
Documents at hand The source files open in the same side panel, next to the data. PDF, Word, JPG, PNG and text, up to 50 MB; scans and phone photos via OCR.
Repeating sections Previous trips, employers, education: you add a row with Add Another, and the side panel fills it in.
CEAC rules Digits-only phone numbers, unsupported characters replaced — and the side panel shows what changed.
Security and Background Filled from the questionnaire, and the Next button stays locked until you confirm you have reviewed every answer.
Come back later The Application ID and the security answer are saved. After a session timeout, the panel fills the Retrieve an Application form and the pages again.
“My applications”: search by name, application ID or passport
“Fill again” when new fields appear
Profile export to CSV
Interface in 60 languages
Visa types
The DS-160 is the online application for every US nonimmigrant visa.
B1/B2 Tourist, visitor and business visa: relatives, vacation, medical treatment, meetings, conferences. Questionnaire template included.
F1 Student visa: university, college or language school, the SEVIS page with the SEVIS ID and school details. Questionnaire template included.
M1 Vocational training, the same SEVIS page.
Other categories H-1B, L-1, O-1, J1, K-1 and more: the common pages are filled. Pages that exist only for that category are flagged by the side panel, and you fill them by hand.
What stays in human hands
The extension works in your regular Chrome, in the tab you opened — no separate browser, no proxies, no workarounds.
Sign-in and CAPTCHA You sign in to the site and solve the CAPTCHA. FormGoat does not do it for you.
Moving between pages You click Next yourself, after checking the page.
Answers that reload the page The side panel marks those fields with a person icon. You set them, and FormGoat fills in the rest.
Signing and submitting Under DS-160 rules the applicant signs and submits the application personally. After submitting, you get the confirmation page with a barcode, needed to schedule the interview.

Questions
Will it submit the DS-160 for me? No. The extension fills the fields; you check each page and click Next. The applicant signs and submits the application personally, as the DS-160 rules require.
Does it sign in or solve the CAPTCHA? No. You sign in to ceac.state.gov and solve the CAPTCHA yourself. The extension works in your own Chrome, in the tab you opened.
Which visas does it support? B1/B2, F1 and M1 work best. For H-1B, L-1, O-1, J1, K-1 and other categories the common pages are filled; category-specific pages are flagged for you to fill by hand.
Which documents can I upload? PDF, Word (DOCX), JPG, PNG and text files, up to 50 MB. Scans and phone photos are recognized with OCR. Several files are combined into one profile.
What if the CEAC session times out? The profile is kept in FormGoat, not only on the CEAC website. Retrieve the application by its Application ID — the panel fills the Retrieve an Application form — and fill the pages again.
How much does it cost? Your first application is free. After that — paid plans, including plans for agencies. You pay only for extracting data from documents — filling DS-160 pages is free.
How is it different from the desktop app? The desktop app has its own browser. The extension works in your regular Chrome, next to the form, with nothing else to install.
